jcspray or/& list,

Referencer is a great program to sort, tag and organize a collection of
ebooks and sorts. ty.
I've installed the deb from getdeb.com v1.0.3 re; Ubuntu Feisty 32bits.

Everything seems to work, yet I have no thumbnails (i.e. shown in this
pic<Loading Image...>
) on any of the imported *.pdf files.
My ebooks are currently sitting on a NAS partitioned to FAT32 (mounted
via NFS)... if this has anything to do with anything.

Help me show thumbnails? Ty.

P.S. Can't wait for tracker+referencer team work. :-)

Try to temporarily add a local .pdf and see whether that yields a
thumbnail, I'm not sure what mechanism referencer uses, but at least
nautilus does not thumbnail files on network shares, AFAIK, so it might
be likely that this is the culprit.

cheers,

Michael,

Adding a local (/home/me/debian.pdf) _does_ yield a thumbnail.
Yet, nautilus does typically thumbnail my remote pdf's also. *shrugs*
Thanks for the reply. (I sure hope remote references can use thumbnails,
what a wonderful feature.)

Referencer 1.0.3 refuses to thumbnail files which are not local. I've
hopefully fixed this for the next release, by counting any file://
(which would include your NFS mounts) or smb:// files as fast enough for
thumbnailing. This is in subversion now.

John
